Dear all,

I apologize for my prolonged absence and for the lack of updates. Much has passed since i last made an entry here, as of such I wish to address several issues. First I wish to congratulate and offer my sincerest gratitudes to our recently elected Itanium Solutions High Council members for the term '09/'10. A prosperous year is ahead of us as Itanium Solutions' first anniversary passes quietly amidst the exams. In the coming year, plans have been set in motion to lay the final bedrocks for the club, to ensure and continuously facilitate its growth and progressiveness after the current administration has finished its course. I also convey my deepest appreciations to a long-term friend and ally, one of our club's longest-running members alongside myself, and now your humble, self-appointed Vice President, Low Kyle Yi, for his faith, his everlasting support in the darkest of times, as well as his friendship. A man could not have a better ally to serve by. The club owes you a great debt for your services and, on many occasions, sacrifices (ie. paperwork), as do I.

Moving on, this year's installation was held as an unofficial gathering at my place on the 22nd of August, adjacent to the one-week term break. Everything began in the morning as several guys started to arrive with food and, more importantly, computers. Items on the day's long-awaited agenda included

Study Leave PDF Print E-mail

ATTENTION

Since the exams (especially PMR for Form 3s)  are coming soon, no meetings or lessons will be conducted on the 11th of September 2009, Friday. There will be a study leave until further notice.

As a side note, the next event being held after the exams will be the much anticipated CHSCG 09. It will be held as part of the After PMR Programme for the students of Form 3. Any members of Itanium Solutions is welcomed to lend a helping hand. We are deeply in need of manpower to launch the event with fluid motion. We truly hope that there will be less implications in this year's CHSCG.

Lastly, Itanium Solutions hopes to wish everyone

GOOD LUCK FOR THE UPCOMING EXAMS

Best Regards,

The Secretarial Department

This is a report of what happened in the Itanium Solutions lesson on the 4th of September. Whoever was absent today missed out quite some awesome things, namely…

1) Videos.

- Several videos were shown to the members.

- The first was one on how a USB stick is made. Now, USB sticks involve a lot of processes and testing before they can be sold in the market.

- The second one was an iPhone parody, which includes good tips for all guys out there!

- The next video was regarding Microsoft Office 2010, made in a very creative movie way.

- The final video was about overclocking. Overclocking is the process of running a computer component at a higher clock rate than it was designed for, to achieve levels of performance beyond specific value. In this video, overclocking was done with the help of 500L of liquid nitrogen and 500L of liquid helium, using AMD Phenom II X4 processors.
